Practicing Winter

Not that I am counting or anything but only three weeks until the days start getting longer!

I admit I stole this link from XDs blog on Prosebox. It is all about forgotten words. Those of us who write poetry (and do crossword puzzles) haven't forgotten all of these words. :)

This is the last sun we will see for some days. It is overcast out there now. Sigh.

Me, I am trying to get all my chores done today and dip my toe into the Christmas mood as I'll be working way too much during the next few weeks. Oh well. I am very grateful to have a job.

We were to lucky to have glorious light today. I went out this afternoon with the camera. While out I was having trouble with the tiny teeny on switch on my Nikon Coolpix and had to stop shooting but I think I have figured it out now.

November is the color yellow for me and I am thrilled to have it almost over. I'm having an easy relaxing day that involves only foot travel.

This recent Tiny Desk Concert with John Legend is most definitely worth the 12 minute investment of time.

Odds and Orts

Over in the old neighborhood yesterday there is a corner I know well and poles on three of the four compass points have been knit bombed but this telephone pole shows the crochet arts. :)

I just thought it was a fun way to display orts.

Too much work. I have too much work to do. I am just saying... Toast girl. I am toast.

Handsome Fellows Hail from Thailand?

I am wondering of these two are Korats? The breed. They live a few blocks from me and I have most likely featured one or the other of them here before. I am learning such wonderful things about cats in Cat Sense, including that I may have felt guilty about my Stella's retiring and somewhat wildcat behavior for years for no reason.

On a completely different topic, my beloved yoga teacher has moved to Michigan but has her online yoga classes up and operational. Check it out!

I'm going to Salem today to hang out with Jack and Leo and eat vegetable strata. This is a very good thing because if I stayed home I would feel compelled to work. Which is not a good thing. :)

Fitness Age? Interesting...

Foggy winter skies even though it is technically still fall out there.

My link today is to the new "fitness age" calculator based on international studies. You need to know your waist size in centimeters and your resting heart rate.

How Old is Your Health?

I have a fitness age of 38! Sweet.

Even though I seriously could not do all the poses on the new Pure Barre DVD I tried for the first time yesterday. :)
